Kathy - I think the values in Brentwood have probably reached the bottom, and i wouldn't be too concerned about losing money, and look at this as an opportunity to buy a home at a price that hasn't been possible for several years. The cost to build homes is not going to decline, and eventually, these homes will all start to appreciate again. It's just my opinion, but one shared by a lot of professionals.
As far as inglehame farms being a good neighborhood, I would have to say that most of it is, but stay away from the homes backing up to Wilson pk. It will become a very busy highway some day.
In the $500,000 to $700,000 price range, I think you have some better choices.
