The best time to start is always right now :)
Big companies will offer good training and name recognition in exchange for the higher fees. But, small companies might also have available training.
The best way to define is interviewing/meetings with at least 5 different brokers close to you.
Try to meet the sales team as well. It is very important to connect with the people that you are going to work with and learn from.
