A few recomendations I would make would be Coral Ridge, Victoria Park, Shady Banks, Sailboat Bend, Croissant Park and Wilton Manors. All of these areas are close to shopping, the beach, and downtown. I agree with Joanna in the fact that foreclosures are more of a headache than a bargain in most situations. I have dealt with plenty of them lately and more often than not my clients choose to go for a property in which the homeowner has equity to negotiate a better deal unlike a bank that is fully leveraged at market value.
