Lin Litaker answered:
If you are relocating to the Salisbury, NC area, I would suggest checking prices of homes currently listed that are similar to the one you are considering buying. Our market here is still reasonably good but prices have not escalated drastically in the past few years. Another question to ask is if the seller has done major renovation/repairs. You can search current listings on my website at http://www.SalisburyNCHomes.com. I recommend having a local real estate professional serving as your buyer's agent prepare a market analysis on any home you are considering purchasing. Lin - Wed Jul 16 2008, 06:58

Is your new job located in Salisbury? If so, have you considered moving into the Rowan-Salisbury area itself? It's a rather hefty drive from Mint Hill/Matthews both in time and gas. Check my website at http://www.SalisburyNCHomes.com for information about this area and also for links to area information. You will be able to search our MLS and I think you will love the houses in our newer communities. Lin - Wed Jul 16 2008, 06:52

Will I be out of place in Charlotte, being from up North?

Lin Litaker answered:
I live in Salisbury, NC a small town in-between Winston Salem, Charlotte, and Greensboro. We have many folks from all over the country moving in here. We're a great location 2 hours from the mountains and 3 1/2 hours from the coast. We have sports, live theatre, symphony, arts area, and much more. You'll find large populations of relocated folks from upstate NY, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Lately, we've had numerous buyers moving back from retirement in Florida. I and our Century 21 company will be glad to answer any questions you might have. - Wed Apr 23 2008, 10:27

I live in the Salisbury, NC area which is in between Greensboro, Winston Salem, and Charlotte. It's a great smaller town near all the "big stuff." Our Century 21 office has strong sales and works lots with relocation and out-of-town buyers. Our area is one of the few in the country that still has a strong market. I'd love to answer any questions you might have. Lin Litaker - Wed Apr 23 2008, 10:22
Lin Litaker answered:
High Rock Lake just outside Salisbury, NC is an excellent, lower-priced alternative to Lake Norman or Lake Wylie. Homes are much more reasonably priced and honestly, it's a quicker drive into downtown Charlotte from Salisbury than from the Lake Norman area. - Tue Sep 4 2007, 06:55
