My philosophy as an agent is to work for my client with the same energy and enthusiasm as I do when I sell or buy my own home. As an e-PRO Realtor, I am certified in the use of real estate technology to give my clients the edge in home selling or home search. As an ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative), my buyer clients know they are getting expert assistance in finding that perfect home. As an ASP (accredited staging professional), my seller clients enjoy the expert advice I provide in preparing their homes for sale (which results in faster sales for more profit).

Home decorating describes the way the home is designed to look when someone lives there. This usually reflects the owner's taste and preferences for style and function. Staging describes how the home is prepared to touch the emotions of and to show off the architectural features to a potential buyer. The "look" of each can be very different, even though both can be very beautiful. Staging is based on proven principles of furniture placement, color scheme, placement of accessories, and more. One basic principle is "clutter eats equity".
According to statistics collected by Staged Homes, these homes sell in about half the time and for up to 10% more than unstaged homes. It is certainly worth the effort and expense for sellers to have their home -- large or small --staged, as the cost is typically less than the first price reduction which often accompanies an unstaged home. Sellers can research how to stage their own home by typing "home staging" into a favorite search engine. Some real estate agents have special training to assist sellers with this project, and there are professional staging companies which offer a variety of packages from which the seller can choose, depending on budget, time, and effort required. - Thu May 8 2008, 09:10

Sales Associate for
Coldwell Banker Professional, Realtors
I was recruited by Coldwell Banker Professional, Realtors in 2008 after working very successfully (top producing agent) with another company for 3 years. My decision to join CBPR was based on the outstanding service they offer to clients as well as the ongoing education available to their agents. My background was in health care and education in the medical setting, where I worked with new parents as they underwent a major life transition -- the birth of a child. The knowledge and skills I obtained from those years have served my real estate clients, who also undergo a major life event when moving, very well. Personally, I have purchased, remodeled, and sold almost a dozen homes in less than 15 years -- and moved with every one! This has given me extensive personal experience in how the moving process affects individuals and families. I am able to share valuable tips with those who are moving to help make the event less tiring and stressful.
