I have also used Charles Chisholm and find him to be very good and very honest about the true condition of the home. I have used him on both older homes as well as new construction. You may also want to check out the ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) website, as the inspectors on the website have had extensive education& training in inspections. If you are currently working with a Buyer Agent, they should also be able to recommend a good home inspector for you to use. You may also want to talk to friends & family who may have bought an older home and see who they recommend.
