Jack Johnson was born and raised in Doylestown, Bucks County. Always the independent thinker, Jack strived to control his destiny. He created a two-week art show called, Waldrobe that made headlines in his hometown. Pertaining to Real Estate, Jack assisted in flipping two properties; one in Monroeville, PA and the other with his father in Venice Park, Atlantic City, NJ. After his college career at Penn State University, majoring in psychology, Jack drifted back to what he was passionate about; Real Estate. Living in an area impossible to afford for first-time buyers, Jack discovered the beautiful and affordable homes of Pottstown as well as the Genisis Housing Program to assist with the finances. He quickly became the director of marketing for a local Real Estate company then branched out on his own, building his company into what it is today. Now teamed with Tom, Jack is very excited about the possibilities the two can achieve in helping Pottstown Prosper.

Try holding interviews at your home. Invite 2,3 or4 different agents, some from big firms and some from small, and determine the difference for yourself.
Personally, I think is the agent that sells the house. I closed 7 deals in December and my firm is fairly small.
If you like I can act as a professional 3rd party intermediary and do the interviews for you (at no cost to you)since I am also able to network to other states. If you tell me your needs I can interview a big handful of people and show you the results saving you precious time.
Whatever you decide, Good Luck in your search!

Hey Chris,
That question is really vague. (no offense)
Every area has different values and every buyer, like yourself, has different amounts that they would like to pay in realation to their needs. First thing you do is visit the website below and then get yourself prequalified to figure out what you can spend so you don't spin your wheels looking at something you love but can't afford.
And the gentleman who answered first is right. Using a buyer rep costs you nothing AND their loyalty, confidentiality and ENTIRE fuduciary responsibility is to you while they are getting paid by the seller. On the other hand if you were to for example call the number associated with a place for sale you are likely to get the listing agent, who will definately help you, but his or her loyalty and primary fudiciary responsibility by law is to the seller. So obviously you are better represented using buyer representation. - Fri Jan 18 2008, 19:08

Hey Sharon,
If you're only looking in one town this should be easy. You should go to 'County Seat'; the town in your county that hosts the County Courthouse. Its there that you will inquire about 'Sheriff Sales.' Someone should point you towards an area that has actual physical papers hanging that you can take with you.
Hope this helps! - Fri Jan 18 2008, 18:30
