The commute is something that is my opinion can be adjusted. Hatfield is a very nice place to live. You are close to franconia, harleysville, lansdale, chalfont and many more areas.
The more important question would be, how much do house up here run for. 4 bed and 3 bath can run anywhere from 300K-550k or even more. You didn't state any figures in your question. There are many factors that would come into play. I live in Lansdale and love it. i am 4 minutes from Hatfield and lived in Hatfield before. they share the same school district; North Penn. I think most people get used to driving around here. It's always a nice drive. So I doubt your family will mind driving to go out and have fun. nice parks for the kids and Hatfield just redid their pool. feel free to contact me.
