Karen Rath answered:
The downtown market is transforming. For many years living downtown wasn't really an option, but now great strides being made with new construction of great condo's and apartments as well as grocery stores and other amentities. Business is strong and we continue to see improvements. Pittsburgh has a lot to offer from cultural events to great professional sports and college sports. If you like more of a metropolitan living experience, it is a great time to puruse this option, and much more economical than other cities. - Tue May 6 2008, 08:32

Some of the top schools are in the South Hills and some are in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Depending on other needs, it would be smart to look at all of these areas and see what meets your needs best, knowing all of these are great school districts. Mt. Lebanon, Upper St. Clair, North Allegheny, Fox Chapel, Quaker Valley and Pine Richland is another school district that keeps improving in ratings. - Tue May 6 2008, 08:27
