Susan Fletcher answered:
The pros are the great waterfront area, the town also has many nice swimming areas and three are on a fresh water lake. Most waterfront homes have ease of access to the bay and very short ride to the inlet for the Ocean. Prices have dropped a bit and now is the best time to purchase if you are thinking about it, especially going into the winter. The cons are not many but one of the ones that come to mind is that there is a few streets that flood when a nor easter hits the area. Most of the homes have been lifted up on pilings but the streets still will flood and that makes it not as desireable. Another con is some of the waterfront homes are on busy streets, so the noise from traffic going to and from their homes may bother some people. Other than that it is a great place to have a home on the water.
