I live in Ringwood and have traveled over Skyline Drive many times during all kinds of weather. My experience has been that they keep on top of Skyline Drive to keep it open and are very quick to salt the roadway. Traffic accidents have caused more issues than snow. I've been in Ringwood 10 years and have encountered a few times during the times I've traveled over Skyline that it was closed mostly due to an accident. There are three ways in and out of Ringwood. Skyline Drive, Ringwood Ave/Greenwood Lake Turnpike and Sloatsburg Road to route 17. I use to work in Hackensack NJ which is in Bergen County. During heavy snow I used route 17 North to Sloatsburg Rd. Not because of Skyline Drive, but because of the traffic on Route 208 north.

I live in Ringwood. There is a park and ride bus to NY at the library. For more accurate information you can visit the NJ Transit site for schedules. There is a train in Ramsey that travels to the path in Hoboken and there is also a train that runs in Suffern New York which is about a 10-15 minute ride. Check the NYS transit for information about the train station in Suffern, NY.

I live in Ringwood and have for over 10 years. It is rural, very quiet. I love it here but it isn't for everyone. Malls are a 20-40 minute drive, big box stores are about 15-20 minutes away.

I live in Cupsaw Lake and have for over 10 years and love it here. There's been a lot of press about this issue. It is in the old iron mine areas near the NYS border.
