"Dear Donna, It finally happened, all thanks to you – you sold my family’s place on Sibsie Lane in East Orleans after two other high-performance realtors failed to get us a single decent offer. As you know, I am thrilled. My brothers are also and join me in sending their heartfelt thanks. You rethought the sale from the start, advising us to do what we wanted to do – fix the house up and sell it to be lived in rather than to be torn down. You guided us through and did most of the work to make the whole fix-up process happen, including finding a roofer to put on a new roof, an exterminator, and someone to deal with a dreadfully damp and smelly basement. We were all happy with the final price, even though it might have been higher if I had called you when you were sick rather than doing a round of the negotiating without your advice. I continue to be amazed at how available you always were. I called you at any hour on any day and you always were ready to think out loud with me and do what had to be done. I kept thinking I was going to come to the end of your good will, good ideas, and patience with the process, and you never did. Even after the second buyer pulled out 5 days before the closing when our septic system failed the inspection, you had already called several people by the time you reached me and you had a plan which resulted in the third and final buyer. A lot of the people we were dealing with seemed to think they could run the process for us to their advantage. You pushed back hard when it was necessary and I knew I could rely on you to represent my interests with whatever force it took. I cannot think of anything you could have done better.
