Dear KB from South Dakota,
I agree with Mary Crane as to the answers for how to choose a Realtor to work with. The Realtor you choose should have deep roots within the local real estate community which helps them to understand and get the most current information as to changes in the market. You have many Realtors offering to show you areas that you should consider for relocation. I serve the South Shore of Boston communities. From the start of your description of what you are looking for in a location--I chose Hingham to point out to you. It has many avenues available to the commuter--train service, commuter boat, improved roadways and is within 30 minutes of Boston and all the city has to offer. It has many active recreational opportunities, also; from boating, tennis, proximity of skiing, trips to the islands and New York, etc. It is definately more affordable than Wellesley, Newton or Weston and is incredibly charming, quaint, and beautiful. My office is in Cohasset, which is equally beautiful--but further from Boston--as is Scituate and Norwell. I have access to much more valuable information, such as school reports, town information and demographics if you are interested. Please check out my website if you get a moment and feel free to call if you would like to interview me as your Buyer's Agent. - Fri Jul 24 2009, 07:58
