I have lived in the Greenville, Simpsonville area for close to 9 yrs now. I am origionally from the Chicago area, and I own several corporate rental homes in this area. The reason you see so much for sale here is we have a very growing area with several large comapnies who transfer employees every 3-6 years. BMW,GE, Michelin and Lockheed martin to name a few. With a still steady growth of 3-6% in value in certain areas of the upstate and builders still forseeing a continued growth is why our nventor is so large. We are also experiencing a lot of retirees coming from Florida, NJ & NY because of how much you get for your dollar here. I hope this answers yoiu question better. - Mon Jul 28 2008, 13:57
