I don't believe that foreclosure listings are "public record" until they are acutally sold. Then the sale is of public record. Any MLS listing engine will give you some foreclosure listings, though they seem to be delayed. You can search on some bank web sites for bank-owned properties for sale, but your best bet is to shell out for the monthly fee on http://www.realtytrac.com if you are really considering buying a home under foreclosure. - Wed Nov 28 2007, 09:29
