Mexico Beach is still a very quiet town although there has been much housing construction the last 2-3 years. The beaches are well cared for and easily accessible with maintained walkways. There are no pets allowed on Mexico Beach. There is some shopping: clothes, souvenirs, furniture and decor; and dining in the center of town, a fishing pier and public boat ramps. Job availability depends on what you are looking for; most anything is available in Panama City (30 miles away). There are not really trailer parks but many for rent-some pets some not. I am including the contact number for Mexico Beach info.
Port St. Joe is not a beach community; it has no trailer parks I'm aware of but same rental info as MB. There are breakfast & lunch eating, and some dinner spots. There is a very nice branch library in St. Joe; the town is very involved in the school & summer sports programs. Both communities are very welcoming and friendly. St. Joe has furniture stores, clothing stores, pharmacies, several doctors and dentists, and a new humane society facility. There is a vet also. And the new hospital should be up in a couple years.
There are good areas for your modular in the future, some with acreage.
