Paula, I don't know if you have found a home yet, but just in case. I have lived in Wentworth Estates since 1992 and we are the original owners of our home. We have watched this area mature and grow like crazy. We love our home and have thoroughly enjoyed the area. Lots of things for families to do and a very active home owners' association. On the north side of Tulane which is where we live, you have homes that were built based on the builder's models but to owner specifications. On the south side of Tulane there were several builders involved, but I believe it was primarily Pulte. So where we fall under the heading of Wentworth Estates you will find one builder on one side and multiple builders on the other. I'm not sure if there is a home owners' association or by-laws on the south side.
The west Plano area has excellent schools making for a positive resale. Homes are well kept and the home owners' association enforces the by-laws and has monthly meetings. Women's Club also meets monthly and has all kinds of activities going on which can make meeting others extremely easy. As you walk into homes, you will find a variety of finishings; hardwood floors, marble or carpeting in some, wrought iron or carved wood rails going to the upstairs, marble, granite or corian in kitchens.
So pick a good real estate agent and enjoy looking at all this area has to offer. - Fri Jul 25 2008, 10:30
