those unpaid fees will become a lien against the property...one way or another you will pay. I would try and stay current to avoid any interest penalties. - Mon Jul 27 2009, 17:12

you can do it yourself.... there are no restrictions. contact where ever you want to advertise and find out the process. However, I'd recommend considering an agent because if you don't have a viable marketing plan then you need to speak to someone who can successfully market your home. in this market it's extremely helpful to have someone go to bat for you. You'll end up saving money in the long run...no joke... not that it is impossible to sell your home by yourself....it's just a lot more work than you think. - Mon Jul 27 2009, 09:34

obviously, everyone is right about pricing below...pricing a home right is crucial. just consider that this particular homeowner may not be able drop the price any lower due to current mortgage on the property. Something to consider...I could be totally off base but it happens from time to time. Selling via short sale is a long and complicated process. Again, this is something to consider and maybe your agent can check out. - Mon Jul 27 2009, 09:23
