I had the same thought when I first came here but as it turns out it's a free for consumers service, as well as for the industry. Trulia does not charge for listing properties on the site. Brokers and agents submit information about properties to Trulia, and then this information is pushed on the site for home buyers/sellers to see. I believe the data is updated every 48 hours, at the latest, but don't quote me on that one. Trulia seems to make money by enabling the industry to feature properties - kind of like google where there are ads on the right side of the page. - Fri Jul 13 2007, 14:19
