Both the respondents missed my point. Our agent was indisposed due to an accident which had put her out of circulation for a few weeks, but that is besides the point. My point was on the fiduciary responsibility of the selling agent to show the property to anyone who is interested in buying the house (with or without agent) they are trying to help sell. As for the reponse from Ms. Wilton, what kind of liability does the selling agent have to worry about just for showing someone a house? WRT the comment about not being a 'serious buyer', would you want to take a chance to assume that someone is not a 'serious buyer' in this market? If I were the seller, in this market, I would sure hope my selling agent would not....... - Thu Apr 17 2008, 17:46
