how safe is SUNY-downstate for a young, single female?

It really depends on your block - I live on Lenox Road, which is a block away from SUNY Downstate, in a good building and I feel perfectly safe, but then again, I'm a life-long Brooklynite - a lot of things don't really faze me. I think it really depends on your comfort level. On a scale of 1 to 10, with ten being the safest, I would say it's a 6 --- t's not Park Slope or Manhattan but it's not exactly Crenshaw either. - Wed Sep 3 2008, 20:14
