Hi--we are planning to relocate to the Longmont area from Connecticut, looking in the $550,000 range.

you might want to look around awhile. I would check out the neighboring towns and taxes in each. There are a wide variety of places to live in and near Longmont and it will give you a chance to check crime rates, schools if you need them, shopping etc. Boulder is very close by, as is Berthod, Firestone, Niwot. hello, realtors and mortage people cannot tell you the truth, but cops can. Ask a cop. I would stay away! it is worth the drive to get as far away from the metro area as possible. check out littleton, aurora east of E470, lakewood, boulder, louisville.... at least you will not get shot. - Tue Jun 24 2008, 20:23
