How about comparing your property with zillow.com if you don't have a Real Estate Agent for a marketing
analysis as mentioned in earlier comments. Zillow will give you figures on the site ...you don't have to sign up and it won't cost a dime..but at least maybe give you an estimate of where you stand...but really, check it with the Realtor too.....maybe Melissa since her comments are that she knows the area...... - Thu Jun 5 2008, 19:51
Yes. It is perfectly okay....she/he wants to be sure before they show you homes that are not in your price range - no sense spendiing time on homes that are out of your reach. Spend the time and energy in a price range you will be comfortable in.....there is just the two of you now, but should you have children that extra money not spent on the home will come in handy or to make improvements to the property....$3000 seems like a lot to put down to hold the offer....but I am not your Realtor....or know the circumstances. :0) - Thu Jun 5 2008, 19:43
