I am thinking of the Castilleja homes next to the KB homes, I think they seem nicer, but only you can decide that for yourself.
The area of these developments used to be a business park and so the location seems to be semi-industial but the local schools are good but overcrowded.
Also the Robson homes people are dealing on the standing inventory.
Good luck - Sat Aug 30 2008, 18:38
i also called since I am considering buying in Castilleja. The current school is James Leitch /Warm Springs, and buying a new home vs old home makes no difference for overload status, so buying at Mayfield or any other Warm Springs home will not guarantee a spot at Leitch/ Warm Springs, so Castilleja is looking much more attractive than the Mayfield homes that Nicole posted since they are more expensive! - Sat Aug 30 2008, 18:32
You should be able to really really negotiate since this is standing inventory. You do know that the phase 2 has better floorplans though (at least as far as I think), right? - Fri Aug 22 2008, 19:47
I like them too esp the house 3 and 4. I hear that they are negotiating upgrades but in the next phase they may not be as generous? Let me know if you find out any more info. - Fri Aug 22 2008, 19:45
i looked at the KB homes and the Robson homes next door, to my untrained eye, I think the Robson homes look a lot nicer and even the un-upgraded home was actually really nice with Corian counters included--the Robson people are also openly saying that upgrades are negotiable and I think people are getting $25k+ in upgrades thrown in. I am considering buying one of them now, but just a bit scared by market conditions.
Did you like the KB homes better?
