Hi Linda, first of all what search sites are you using as they should allow you to specify one-story homes. If you go to Realtor.com or our site (depending where you are looking) you can specify the one-story. In realtor.com go to the advanced search. I am not from your area so I cannot responsibly answer your question, however, since you already bought the property let's hope it is a good price, but don't worry about it and enjoy it. A homes value is determined by what a willing and informed seller is willing to sell for and what a willing and informed buyer will pay. Obviously the bank thought it was Ok or they would have let you know.
