Well, as things turn out, we may have a "nibble" on a house. We're waiting to hear back from a bank (again!) and hopefully things will go through this time. If not... we may be contacting some of you soon! - Tue Jul 8 2008, 09:35
Thank you all for your answers! As luck would have it, tomorrow our realtor called with news about our home search - we lost on house; were 2nd on another (our offer was full asking and 3% closing, the top offer is a cash offer!) and after increasing our offer a few thousand dollars - we have the top bid! If things fall out with these houses, we will be finding a new realtor, but we're hoping we won't have to! - Wed Jun 4 2008, 10:29
I should also mention she didn't have her phone programmed to open lock boxes on time (so we couldn't look at the houses we wanted to), she asked us if she could use our home printer to print out offers, and she often doesn't make appts to meet with clients until an hour or so before we want to look at the houses. Like i said before - i feel like i'm a burden and our house hunting is something she crams in as an afterthought. We didn't have any formal agreement with her, but my boyfriend feels obligated that she's spent so much time with us already, we should stay with her so she can get her compensation when we buy a house. but as this point and what i've seen from her so far, i feel like we might never get one! - Mon Jun 2 2008, 12:24
