Hi, I have lived in both Jefferson county and Oldham county, Ky., since I like country living and a large yard or small acreage for my kids to play on I liked Oldham county better. Once my children were grown I moved for a short time to Clark county, In., but I sold after a few years because of the high taxes in the Jeffersonville, In. city limits. We then built a new home in Floyd county, In. in the area of Floyds Knobs. Lower taxes, fair utility bills, good schools and a rural feel. Be sure where ever you buy make sure if you are within a cities boundaries you find out what their taxes are. Also if you buy in the country you find out about what is available as far as heat and cooling, also septic or sewers.
Hope this info helps, Sandy - Thu Sep 17 2009, 20:19
