We are considering moving from San Diego to Bakersfield. What family oriented neighborhoods would you?

We moved here 2 years ago, and we had the same concerns as you. We love the NW, we are in Endeavour Elementary, Fruitvale School District, and we LOVE the school. You can find pretty much anything for 200-400K. There are definately nicer areas-Polo Glen, Centennial Cove, Riverlakes is hit and miss. There are also fixer-uppers available also. Fruitvale Middle School and Centennial High School is where my kids will go, and I am happy with that. We are north of Rosedale Hwy and west of Coffee. We are vey close to shopping and food. There is a great neighborhood recreation center that has sports and other activities for kids and adults. Everyone has an opinion, this is mine.
