By bad shape I meant outdated as in color tile, tub, sink, etc. We're putting new light fixtures and mirror in there. And of course, making it sparkly clean. I just can't wrap my brain around the concept that taking down the wallpaper would add so much value (or subtract value). I don't see it as an easy fix. Painting over the wallpaper, now that's easy. ;) - Wed Feb 20 2008, 10:05
Well, that's not what I wanted to hear. LOL. I bought the house with the bathroom the way it is. I just can't imagine someone passing up our house because of the wallpaper. I mean, the sink , tub and toilet are avacado green, the tiles are harvest gold yellow as the floor is. The bathroom is in such bad shape that I can't see the wallpaper making or breaking the deal. I'm not arguing, I'm just further explaining. :D - Wed Feb 20 2008, 09:54
Larchmont, Scarsdale, Bronxville, Chappaqua, and Eastchester have great schools. All the towns have access to the Metro North which you can take into Manhattan. Pricing is the highest in the areas above, though. But they are very desirable. I'd say to stay away from places like New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, some parts of Yonkers and Elmsford, to name a few. Good luck! - Thu Jan 17 2008, 09:51
The Cross-County area of Yonkers is beautiful! I've been there for 5 years and my husband's family has lived there for 30 years. - Thu Jan 17 2008, 09:43
