I have lived in Central FL my whole life and I can tell you, there is a risk no matter where you are. Not to be cynical...just honest. Your best bet, in cooperation with working with a knowledgeable realtor, is to protect yourself. I'm a single parent who sells Tasers through home and office parties because I believe in them and I recognize the need to feel secure.
