You can check craigslist for some ideas. Dublin's Dublin Ranch area has similar rental prices and communities as San Ramon's Windemere. Around Dublin Ranch, 2000sqft has been listed around $2500/mo. Lower listing seem to go within a couple wks. I've seen 3500 sqft listed for as low as $2800, but the posting was removed within a couple days--probably found a renter very quickly. - Sun Apr 6 2008, 18:46
I get the impression that pros get thumbs down from prospective buyers/sellers when pros answer solely to promote their name without any additional helpful info. And pros/sellers give thumbs down to others who post comparison real estate sale prices without explicit details on whether there were upgrades, etc. Occasionally, I've seen strange exceptions--I guess someone's bored and randomly clicking. - Tue Mar 25 2008, 15:18
4191 Preciado Dr, DUBLIN, 94568 is listed for $324/sqft
4196 PRECIADO DR for $330/sqft
5102 KINO CT for $347/sqft
I don't think anything's sold recently. Adamgolden.com does quite a bit of sales and marketing in that area. You can probably get a more accurate answer from him. - Tue Mar 25 2008, 15:05
Wow--sounds like you have great relocation programs. As a prospective buyer (4Br SFR), I've been watching San Ramon/Dublin/Pleasanton prices & supplies regularly for the past year, and I would agree with your sentiments. East Bay (including San Ramon with its abundance of new constructions and many homes with ARMs) has been hit hard especially since a large part of its economy depends on the real estate/mortgage industry. But if I were you, I'd wait to see what's happens next winter before making up your mind. Nothing in life is a guarantee. Maybe Bernanke can pull a rabbit out of his hat or maybe we'll face a serious decade-long stagflation. - Tue Mar 25 2008, 14:55
