How can I use the statistics which appear for my listing?

Dan answered:
Hi Jaynie. Dan from Trulia here. You can use the stats on your listing however you'd like!

Many of the agents I've spoken to like sharing these stats with their clients so that their clients can see how their home is being marketed online. For now, the easiest ways to use the stats are propbobly 1) copy/pasting stats into an email, taking a screenshot of the stats, or printing out your My Listings page.

We're working on even better ways to help you share these results with your clients though, so stay tuned!

Hi Phil -

Dan from Trulia here. Since you submitted these listings individually yourself, you can edit them by clicking on the blue "Update Details" link associated with the appropriate listing(s) on your My Listings page.

As for the listings that are no longer live, it looks like you already refreshed them which is why they have a status of "Pending Live". This means that they should be back, live on Trulia, within 24 hours.

Hope this helps.

Hi Tammy. I checked out the text for your listings. The text for 3 Sarah Drive looked fine to me, so I'm not sure what the issue was there. For 4007 Ridgecrest, I did see that there appeared to be no description. This information is typically taken directly from the listing feed -- in your case from Houlihan Lawrence. Not sure if it's possible for you to confirm with them that this information is being published in the feed they provide to us.

I'm unfortunately not the best person to get into the nitty gritty of the listing system, but if you continue to have any problems or questions about this, feel free to contact customer service at customerservice@trulia.com - Fri Aug 22 2008, 10:34
Hi Tammy. Dan from Trulia here. You raise several good questions here.

First, as a Trulia Pro customer, you should be able to feature all of your listings. If you're finding that somehow some of your listings are becoming please let us know and we'll look further into it. I just looked at the listings you have featured in your My Listings page and they all appear to be correctly featured (listing you as the agent).

As for your question about "results" and "details" stats, these are the number of views that a given listing received on our results page and detail page respectively. "Clicks" is the number of outbound clicks from Trulia to whatever site we list as the listing source (typically your site or your broker's site). There's a more robust explanation of this at the "About these stats" link on your My Listings page.

Finally, regarding your Local Spotlight Ad, yes -- it is unrelated to your listings. So, whether you have 20 listings or zero listings, you can activate your local spotlight ad and have it shown in up to 20 locations.

Hope this helps! - Wed Aug 20 2008, 12:04

Hi Jeanne. Dan from Trulia here. On your "My Listings" page, the stats we show include Results views (the number of times your listing has been seen on our search results page), Details views (the number of times people have viewed the page dedicated to just this listing) and Clicks (the number of people who have clicked off of Trulia, typically to your site or your broker's site, for more information on the listing).

To learn more about the stats, click on the blue "About these stats" link, which appears in the green bar labeled "Weekly Summary" on your My Listings page.

Hope this helps! - Fri Aug 22 2008, 10:00

Hi Maria. Dan from Trulia here.

Just to clarify how this all works, your Local Spotlight ad allows you to select up to 20 locations. I just checked out your account, and it looks like you have exactly 20 locations already. Just to clarify though, by "location" we mean zip, city, or neighborhood. But if you select 94103 (a zip in San Francisco) and then also the city of San Francisco, that's considered 2 locations. By the way, it makes sense to do this, since the locations you select will be used for targeting users who search in that particular area. These locations are unrelated to where the user actually is (from a geographical standpoint). So, if a user is in Honolulu, but runs a search in 94103, and 94103 is one of your locations, your ad is likely to show up (regardless of whether or not Honolulu is a location you've selected).

In general, when picking your 20 locations, I would suggest choosing a city or two from the areas you serve. Then, I would also select the same corresponding zip codes. Fewer people search by zip code on Trulia, but those that do are likely more certain of what they want, so the leads you'll get there are likely more valuable.

I hope this helps, but please don't hesitate to ask further questions. By the way, I was in Kauai on vacation just a couple of months ago and drove through Kapaa. What a lovely area you serve! - Wed Aug 20 2008, 09:14
