Hi Michael,

As a potential buyer in the same market as you (disclaimer: Bruce Lemieux is our buyer's agent), I would also mention that a lot of folks have been saying that Walter Reed's moving to Naval Medical in 2010, so the Bethesda market will not be heading down for some time since a lot of people will be settling down close to that area. Unfortunately, a mil does not buy you a whole lot in the Bethesda market (not that it buys a whole lot more in Potomac either). - Tue Jun 3 2008, 07:30

Buyer's......What's more important?

Vinay answered:
Not a real estate person, but have been looking for a property with several agents, so I can comment somewhat.
We have had both good and bad agents. The bad ones have been: a) very pushy, b) artificial, c) talking more than listening. These have tended to be calling us everyday to decide on the property that they think is fantastic for us (typical realtor-speak), and have shown us properties that they are desperately trying to sell rather than properties that we would like to see. As you may guess, we have walked away from these. On the other hand, the nice ones have treated us nicely, been patient and while they start out by showing not-so-great properties, they have moved on up to where we are on the same wavelength. And even if they do not have the info on hand, they do not try to bluff and pull a fast-one, but tell us that they will find out for us (and do get back to us). Hope that helps. - Wed Jan 30 2008, 07:15
