Ruth, you don't need anger management. And, no, you aren't being overly compassionate. What is happening is that you're beginning to have a panic attack, over a very serious matter ( the selling of your home ) and, you've come to realize that you are probably more qualified than your agent.
... remember, Ruth, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER ! Get to work on the information you have been given, and define, dissect, and decipher every word, then, you will know what is going on. Taking this measure will possibly prevent your getting a bad deal, and the added knowledge will give you confidence, relieving the way you feel now. - Sun Sep 23 2007, 07:06
Jason, marble and granite countertops are the way to go. In addition to being overwhelmingly beautiful, the are practically scratch-resistant, when compared to the usual formica countertops. Marble has a lustrous finish, while, granite is flat. Both are non-porous, adding to their ability to maintain appearance. Both look great, so it depends upon your taste. An expensive amenity, but, a great investment because they are timeless. - Thu Sep 13 2007, 05:14
The city's guideline will be the rule-of-thumb. Most likely, it will have to be more than an ear-sore ( pose a safety hazard) to get the city involved. Does your neighborhood have a civic club. I hear c.c.'s can be quite effective with such problems. - Sat Sep 8 2007, 03:06
