I am looking for a home for my parents

Heather answered:
Not sure if you'd be interested in a gated community with luxury condos, but there are several new units currently being built in Georgetown - The Yacht Club at Belle Isle - Mon Oct 6 2008, 13:54

You've gotten a LOT of great responses here! Hopefully you've decded that SC is the right area for you and your family!
I just thought I'd thrown in a website that talks about the Georgetown/Pawley's Island/Low Country area - lots of great information and links to area websites.
Hope this helps - http://www.squidoo.com/georgetownsouthcarolina

When you're ready to retire and enjoy condo life, you can move right into The Yacht Club at Belle Isle, which is right there in Georgetown/Pawley's Island! http://www.theyachtclubatbelleisle.com

Here's a great new development on Winyah Bay, which is right between Myrtle Beach and South Carolina. I'm not sure about sellers in financial trouble. You'd have to contact the owner or the realtors for this new development. - Tue Jan 22 2008, 07:43

Definitely - SC is a great place to move!
A new waterfront community that's currently under construction is on Winyah Bay on the Intracoastal Waterway which is between Charleston and Myrtle Beach. It's a smaller community with a LOT to offer and just minutes away from the larger cities. Plus, you can walk to the beach! It's near the famous Pawley's Island.

How attached are you to the Greenville area? There's a brand new community now under construction on the coast near Georgetown. It's secluded, but not too far from Myrtle Beach and Charleston. See the link below if you're interested in a coastal property. - Tue Sep 18 2007, 07:25
