Glad you guys liked it. I liked it too! I especially liked the ideas on how to monetize your blog. The Sellsius guys sell ads on their site, which I find intriguing. I've tried it with my Unusual Life blog, selling books from Amazon, and it's doing quite well, but not sure how to do it on my regular industry blog... I do have a real estate search on their, but it's not utilized much, as the site tends to be read more by other agents and those in the biz rather than buyers and sellers. I thought it was fun to listen to some of the bloggers think, like Ardell DeLongia, as she talks just like she writes! - Sat Aug 4 2007, 09:08

I like JP, but my favorite was Stan Boreson. Did you know last Saturday was Stan Boreson day in Ballard? He appeared and played his accordion at the Ballard Seafood Fest. Ya sure, you betcha! - Sat Aug 4 2007, 01:02

Do realtors / agents want a blog?

Marlow Harris answered:
Freddie,

Are you trying to develope some new software or blogging platform for agents? If so, I don't think there's any money in it for you, but good luck! - Sat Aug 4 2007, 00:58

I think it helps people remember you, but I don't think it's very professional. I have several business cards I use and I only use a photo on one of them. - Sat Aug 4 2007, 00:54

Does having your home listed with the historical society impact the value?

Marlow Harris answered:
It's a great selling point in Seattle. There are some limits to altering the exterior appearance, but that's usually not an issue for most owners, as they're anxious to preserve a historic and vintage look.

There are a few historic overlay districts, one in Pioneer Square and another one on Capitol Hill called the Harvard-Belmont District. Outside of those two areas, I think it goes house to house, rather than historic overlay districts. - Tue May 15 2007, 23:23
