Yikes, the answers you got are no answers at all. The market for Buyers is Great! Plenty of inventory, some priced well and some overpriced ignoring the realities of the market. Skill and experience is required to discerne the good deals from the not-as-good.
If you are a Seller, it's TOUGH. Miss Plyler is misinformed saying it's wonderfull. As a senior Broker/Owner/Instructor with over a thousand transactions experience, I can tell you, we are not as bad as some places, but finding Buyers right now is tougher now than at any time in the past 15 years. Our real estate recession will not last as long as some places, but it's real and it hurts sellers, real estate sales people and related business. Values are good but people have not made the increase in the past year we have before.
I would encourage BUY NOW! Even if you sell for a little less on your old home, you'll get a bargain on the new house. Our housing market has doubled in value roughly every 8 years, in good times and bad. It's always evened out. This market adjustment will be short and will not change the long term number
