Excellent question. My name is Mike from Remax of North Bergen. I would recommend you to star looking around January but first get a pre-qual letter from a Bank or lender, that's the first step, if you are a first time home buyer the lender might ask you how long you was renting and how much you are paying, that's because now with all me mess in the sub prime market lender want to know about your payment shock. If you want me to provide you with a list of comparables I'll be more than happy. No pressure to list with me or anything. Hello and that's a good question. I'm a local realtor here on Hudson County and statics show that Union City will be like the next Hoboken. Every month new building open they door with new apartments for sale, ok here is how I think is going to be. Hoboken the next city price are very stable but parking is a pain in the neck, on Union City all the new building and some of the existing one have at leat one parking. One more thing to consider is that all the school system is rebuilding the schools. Just make sure that you are paying a fair price per SqFt, just remeber that as a new const your taxes are going to be higher even at the end of the 5 years tax abatement that you should have.
