Why are you limiting yourself to Royal Palm only? Is there a specific reason for it? I live in Wellington, within walking distance to the elementary, middle and high schools. There is a neighborhood park down the street. I moved here years ago for the same reason(s) you are. I wanted a neighborhood, with sidewalks so the kids can take their bikes to school and paved roads so that they can play out front and the like. What I didn't like about Royal Palm at the time was that the roads weren't completely done - although that is a different case these days-, my neighbors would be over an acre or so away, too many ponds and I didn't want to deal with a water system. If you want a large yard with plenty of outdoor space for the kids, then Royal Palm/Loxahatchee is the way to go. If you don't want the maintainence of a large yard and don't like cookie cutter developments where the houses are on top of each other and basically have the same exteriors, then middle Wellington might be worth a look. Heck, I'd even consider selling you my house. - Thu Jun 19 2008, 14:38
