List it with a flat fee broker and you can get it on here and many other sites. As a FSBO its a worth while cost to get it on the MLS and all the sites like this that won't allow FSBO. Mine ended up everywhere and I even had an inquiry on my house from an individual from England. At the 3 1/2 month mark I got 2 offers on the same day after turning down an offer about a month earlier. - Tue Aug 26 2008, 13:48
Will there be another weekend before closing? We closed on our recent purchase on a Monday. We noticed the previous owners hadn't moved anything as of the Friday before closing. Everything was gone the Monday of closing. Some people have schedules to work around or are themselves waiting until the last minute because their new living arrangements aren't available until the day of or before closing. As the others have said though if you do the final walk through and everything is out don't sign the papers. - Wed Aug 13 2008, 07:00
Some people will take offense and others won't. I recently had an offer for exactly 20% below asking and the agent said sorry about it when she gave it to me. I took it with a grain of salt but my wife got upset. The funny thing is when we made an offer on the house we just purchased our agent suggested also asking for 20% below to start and my wife didn't have a problem with doing that. Go figure!! - Mon Aug 11 2008, 11:55
I went with a local credit union and just closed in the beginning of july.. 5.19% interest with 5% down in a stable market and 10% in a declining market. There were income restrictions on this but I don't think I could have beat this deal since I didn't qualify for FHA since I already owned a home under FHA. Shop around! - Mon Aug 11 2008, 11:09
I'm not sure where that subdivision is exactly but I think its right around the middle school. I have a few friends who live a few miles down the road. Their neighborhoods seem to be nice safe areas. I use to live down Olive road on the other side of Davis. The neighborhood is a nice neighborhood as well. I have that house for sale right now. To me it seems like most of the neighborhoods just off of Olive are decent. Depending your price range I think there are a few nice developments just off of Johnson on the east side of Davis. Thats just one road north of Olive. - Mon Jul 28 2008, 08:34
