Keith, Thank you for your input as it is greatly appreciated. My husband and I are thinking of getting another realtor as we do fear messing up somewhere with the paperwork and want things to go through smoothly. The other seller does have a realtor who they are going to pay to do the paperwork so that it also runs smoothly, so all parties would be going at this caustiously and without fear or concern of an error. Per our current realtor, our house is not overpriced. But in the market we are in now, it maybe by a few thousand, but i personally would not figure 10-15 thousand over.?. But, we are meeting with another agent. Also, we have listened to both realtors. We did as they requested, but in turn neither of them said what they would do for us so this time, it will be very clear and upfront what we are looking for and what we expect so that there is no confusion from either party. But again, i do say thank you for your input as it is appreciated. - Mon Oct 27 2008, 13:17
Currently it is listed at 86,900.00. For our comps, it is below those and in way better shape then they are. We have not had luck with the last two real estate agents, long story, best left a lone, but since we are pros as this now, we know who to go to as she would best fit our needs and handle this as a business transaction and not so much a personal connection. - Mon Oct 27 2008, 08:46
It is not that we were being greedy, it was with having to pay the closing costs, plus the the 3% they were wanting back, plus paying the 7% to the realtor, plus paying off the house that would have left next to nothing to put down on a new house. We have awesome credit, but we would like to have a little extra to put down. We were very greatful to get the offer as in these times, we know they are few and far between. - Mon Oct 13 2008, 11:46
