Elvis...I am not looking for it to be sold....in three weeks...I would be happy with a showing so we could get some feedback at least :) - Mon Oct 20 2008, 06:26
I am glad someone actually cares!!! I am a seller who is nervous because we bought our home 2 1/2 years ago, when the market was high. We thought we would stay for a long time, but my husband got a job relocation, so now we have to sell. We have our house listed for less than we paid, and we did about 30k worth or renovations and updates (again thinking we would be here long enough to enjoy them). The house needs absolutely nothing!!! We even put in a super efficient new furnace! Despite all this we haven't even had any showings. What are buyers thinking...there are so many steals out there right now!!! Is it that they can't get the financing? What gives? - Wed Oct 15 2008, 16:54
Thanks Mike,
Bring your buyers...we are very motivated!
Thanks for all the advice! - Tue Oct 7 2008, 09:28
We haven't gotten any calls....Does that mean it is priced too high? It is definitely not a drive by. What can we do to get more people interested to even come look at it? - Tue Oct 7 2008, 09:08
Our house is in Bellingham, and has been listed since last Thursday. for 325K. It has been totally redone. - Tue Oct 7 2008, 09:04
We are in Bellingham....I think our house is priced competitively, the problem is that it is on a busy street. I have completely cleaned the house from top to bottom, and tried to stage it is best I could on my own. I reduced the stuff in each room by at least 1/3. I put smaller beds in the bedrooms, etc. I am willing to just about anything to sell it right away. (But we need to get back what we owe on our mortgage and the Real estate comission, so we can't really lower the price). We only purchased the house 2.5 yrs ago (in the highest market, unfortunately), thinking we were going to be in it a long time. We have done a lot of work to it as well (new kitchen, etc). We know we are going to lose the money we put into the house, and that's okay with us. We basically just want to break even. We just listed it on this past Thursday.
Thanks for the advice. - Mon Oct 6 2008, 07:15
