Am I being too touchy or do I need another realtor? My sig. other and I have been looking at houses on the MLS and we wanted to set up a showing at one of the houses that caught our eye. Our realtor said that until we get an offer on our place, not to waste our time and his time. I thought that the whole point of setting up showings w/ your client was apart of the process. We know what we qualify for, we know what kind of house we want and yes we realize until our place sells that we probably shouldn't get our hopes too high-am I over-reacting? It seemed like my sig. other, myself, and the realtor had a good rapport in the beginning but now it seems like whenever we have a question etc. we are bothering him. Perhaps it's time to re-evaluate. - Wed Jun 18 2008, 19:43

Open House Update
Well- our realtor did the open house this weekend. Two people showed up and told our realtor that the house was too expensive. Our realtor more or less said " I told you so" as far as opens not being successful. Well at least we tried it. Thanks again to all for the feedback! - Mon Jun 9 2008, 09:57
Wow Tman! Thanks for shedding light on reaching out to out of state markets. I also like your suggestion about paying for their move etc. We could certainly sweeten the pot by doing that!
Our realtor called us last night and said he would hold an open house next weekend but also did warn that the property taxes are probably keeping folks away since we have been assessed for sewer and water and a paved road. Truth be told, these assessments are hurting us financially since it raised our escrow quite a chunk. These assessments obviously influenced our decision to downsize and sell. However I believe there is a way to market this home despite the property tax issue.
Thanks again to everybody for all of your feedback! - Sat May 31 2008, 05:22
Thanks to all for the comments and advice! To answer some previous questions in regards to how our realtor has marketed our property so far:
We have not had not any showings yet. Since we have acreage our realtor has advertised our home in horse publications and has been putting the word out to land developers. - Thu May 29 2008, 22:52
