i have it listed for $149,900 - should I reduce to $139,900 so I'm in the right ballpark. What do you think?? - Thu Jun 26 2008, 13:16
I'm trying to sell my 3/2 condo in the Bellamar at Beachwalk community and I have it listed for $149,900 and there has been no interest whatsoever. My tenants are vacating the end of this month and I"m behind in my mortgage payments since Feb. To make matters worse, I used my HELOC for the 20% downpayment thinking I would sell it after a few years and make a profit. Boy, did that come back to bite me in the rear end. Since I brought it back in July 05, it's lost 40% of its value. Do I keep it (mortgage co has given me a forebearance) or do I just walk away cutting my losses? I'm so confused and this is the biggest monkey on my back. If only I could turn back time. This waas a B AD BAD investment all the way around. But of course the R E people back then didn't think so......not to mention how trashed the place looks now since I brought it. - Wed Jun 25 2008, 08:59
Serpil: Do you mean to tell me they are still building condos in Ft Myers??? With so much inventory that is on hand that needs to be sold FIRST? No wonder prices are rock bottom. It's the simple economics of supply and demand. What is wrong with these people??? - Tue Jun 24 2008, 15:48

As of today's date, June 23, 2008 there are ONLY 16 properties for sale out of 252. That to me does not signal that everyone wants to get out of there. It's a beautiful complex with much to offer. And the location is ideal. So I would give it another look if you haven't already purchased. GOOD LUCK! - Mon Jun 23 2008, 13:29
