Hi Robert,
Consider Southeast Florida, the Fort Lauderdale area---specifically Weston. Weston is a bedroom community located between Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Naples. Great schools, neighborhoods, amenities, restaurants, and did I mentioned weather. We do not have kids at home, however, we have heard continually from other parents that Weston is the best place to bring up kids with all the recreational parks and Grade A schools. Feel free to see our blog and it will also direct you to the links for Weston Township.

I will be watching responses to your questions, as we are in the same boat. I could be wrong, but the real estate agents are not bringing people in, and could be that they are trying to stay within their own companies listings or supporting other agents. When I have spoken to some of the agents of possibly listing, they did not know our home was on the market till they pulled it up, and also did not know that we are offering 4% to a buyer's agent---are they not doing their homework??? It's difficult to provide the high commissions on both ends when most of them (not all) are not keeping track of inventory. If we drop our price to make it a quicker sale, the amount of $ we need to turn-a-round and work harder for to make up the difference is so much greated compared to what the agent forfeits from a lower sale. - Thu Mar 13 2008, 06:40
