All this talk of Dallas and I just got the final word today. We will be moving to Atlanta next MONTH! So now I must tackle Atlanta homes! - Wed Aug 27 2008, 13:59
I do need 4+ bedroom, but 2935 Velero is nice. I also have to put my hunt on hold. My husband has added Atlanta to his possible transfer locations. So I'll just wait until we have the final word. I hope to have that answer before the end of this month. We just found long term renters for our home in Los Banos, CA. I would love to find a buyer/investor (see 345 Stonewood Drive). We got preapproved for a loan based on being able to at least rent our home so I'm glad that's out of the way. Thanks for all your help. I'll write back when I get the final word. - Thu Aug 21 2008, 08:12
Thanks for the listing and advise. I will have my husband look at MLS #10980619 today. If I can add a few more like this to my list I'll fly down and take a look. Okay then T.E. Sumner, then my goal is to have taxes plus mortagage etc (not including HOAs) to be around $1300.00 or less per month. - Fri Aug 8 2008, 09:08
Thanks for all the input. I did forget to say we are already prequalified. The amount is low because we have to maintain our home in CA. It probably won't sell anytime soon. We are approved for $135,000. We are going to rent out our home in CA and already have a year lease signed. They are just waiting for us to get out! I don't want to do much fixing because I'm not handy and neither is my husband. So whatever fixing is needed we'd have to pay to get done. I have a tall order I know for a little bit of money. But I think this way, I don't need one hundreds homes, but just one for me and my family!!! I think the perfect or near perfect home is out there for me in this price range!!! Yes school district is #1. Quick public transportation is just fine. I have a FEW agents that have contacted me, but none that are doing what I need which is to REALLY narrow things down for me. If I can't get a GREAT home in Dallas, then I'll tell my husband to forget the transfer. It is not mandatory, but we think we'd like Dallas. We loved Houston except for the humidity and flooding. We visited there last year for about two weeks. - Thu Aug 7 2008, 17:31
My husband will transfer to the VA Medical Center in Dallas. He would like to have a short commute. The $1387 I currently pay in CA DOES NOT include property taxes. I know the taxes in Dallas will be higher than my current taxes. - Thu Aug 7 2008, 14:15
