I'm looking at a 1bedroom apt. at 786 Ocean Ave Jersey City, NJ. Can you describe the neighborhood?

i grew up in bayonne which is the next town over from jersey city. trust me stay away from ocean avenue. alot and i mean alot of crime in that particular area. ocean ave, martin luther king ave, journal square area. all very unsafe but probably cheap to live there. people act like animals in these areas and i would suggest looking somewhere else....good luck.... - Tue Mar 25 2008, 13:12

we are going through the same thing in rahway except our house has been sitting for 80 dyas. i think we originally listed it to high but have since come down. now with spring here i am praying some one makes us an offer. so i would say check your price. also if people are saying the rooms are small could you possibly remove somethings from these rooms to make them appear larger, try it. our house is about 1700 sq feet and several people mentioned room sizes. to me the room sizes are large for the price we are asking. it seems some people want huge rooms and think they can pay low dollar. my thinking is if you want larger rooms go look at a mansion ot get a house built to your specifications. some buyers are just idiots and waste our time. don't worry i am sure your house will sell...good luck! - Mon Mar 24 2008, 09:48

i live in rahway and think the area is beatiful. i currently live in the milton lake section which borders clark. its a quiet area with beautiful well manicured homes and its right on the lake. the other side of rahway near the train station is the older section of the town with its large, beautiful victorian mansions. rahway is a safe and beautiful area to live and raise a family. most of my neighbors have been here for 30, 40 years. as far as the schools they are like any others in nj. if you are a good parent and are on top of you children they will do just find in school. it amazes me that the idiots that have responded to your email mock the rahway school system. they probably are not good parents and feel the system should take care of there kids. we need better parents and not parents to critize the school system. come see rahway, i know up in the milton lake section there are a couple of beautiful homes for sale. hey maybe we'll be neighbors....... - Mon Mar 24 2008, 09:30
