Thank you everybody for your input. We are also thinking about the high property tax in windemere and Gale ranch compared to Dublin. We are talking about $3000/year savings there.
We are looking for atleast 2400sqft home in Windemere/Gale ranch area. Not sure if I can find one in san ramon at this time.
I work in Walnut creek so Dublin is five extra miles of commute, which is fine by me. - Thu Sep 4 2008, 20:48

Thanks for all the input. What is FHA? What is the eligibility criteria for FHA?
Both of us have a good credit score (>760) and no debt. A recent pre approval gave me a rate of 6.35 (30 year fixed) with 15% down and PMI. I think its too high. I am more interested in 5/1 or 7/1
