the bank says it still belongs to the owner and that they (the bank) cannot sell it during the redemption period. that it still belongs to the owner.
now are you saying some banks will sell it to you after the sheriff sale, without listing it first?
thanks - Sun Nov 16 2008, 20:36
well i thought that too, however, the bank got it back at the sheriff sale and they said the house is still in the redemption period and therefore i could buy it off of the owner. however, when it comes to the price they had no clue if it would be the sheriff sale price, or what the mortgage balance is, or the mortgage plus all the fees, or neither. or even a short sale price (meaning equivalent to a short sale price, but not a short sale since it is after the sheriff sale). - Sun Nov 16 2008, 01:12
SO DURING THAT SIX WEEKS THE OWNER CAN GET THEIR PROPERTY BACK IF THEY WANT TO????
AND WOULD THEY HAVE TO PAY THE SHERIFF SALE PRICE OR WHAT THEIR MORTGAGE OWED IS OR WHAT????????????? - Fri Nov 14 2008, 22:01
i would be afraid to live there. there is alot of crime in that area. there are section 8 homes there. are you wanting to live there or buy and be a section 8 home. i wouldn't want to live there. if you go more toward fairlawn it is alot nicer area. - Wed Nov 12 2008, 00:03
CAN YOU GET TO IT EVEN IF IT HASN'T BEEN LISTED YET?THANKS - Fri Nov 7 2008, 01:31
COULD YOU PLEASE ANSWER ,MY QUESTIONS JOHN OR SOMEBODY??????????? - Sun Nov 2 2008, 12:45
I JUST FIND THIS SO HARD TO BELIEVE. WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING THE SELLS THEN?
SO I COULD GO BUY A HOUSE AT A SHERIFF SALE AND THEN IN 30 DAYS NOT EVEN OWN IT AS THE DEFAULTED OWNERS CAME UP WITH THE MONEY SO THEY GIVE IT BACK TO THEM? YOU HAVE TO PAY THE TAXES WHEN YOU WIN THE BID. SO IS THAT JUST A GIFT TO THE OLD OWNERS????????????
WHAT PRICE DO THEY HAVE TO PAY??????????????
WHAT THEY OWE, WHAT THE HOUSE WENT FOR AT THE SHERIFF SALE, OR WHATEVER OFFER THE BANK WILL TAKE????????????????
I AM DEFINITELY IN SHOCK ON THIS ONE. - Thu Oct 30 2008, 02:25
ARE YOU SERIOUS???????????
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT WAS SOLD AT A SHERIFF SALE?
THEN WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE 30 DAYS? - Thu Oct 30 2008, 01:48
i am speaking of after the sheriff sale but before it is put on the market. - Wed Oct 29 2008, 13:37
WELL THAT IS WHAT I THOUGHT, BUT ANOTHER REAL ESTATE AGENT TOLD ME THEY HAVE 30 DAYS TO BUY IT BACK FROM THE BANK OR SELL IT.
AND THE BANK IS HAVING THE TITLE PUT IN FREDDIE MAC. AND FREDDIE MAC SAYS IT IS IN REDEMPTION PERIOD AND LASTS ABOUT 6 MONTHS DURING WHICH TIME THE OWNER CAN BUY IT BACK.
IT ALL SOUNDS CRAZY TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE COURT HAS TO PUT THE FREDDIE MAC ON THE TITLE AND THEN SOMEBODY HAS TO FILE IT. UNTIL THAT IS DONE IS THE TITLE STILL IN THE NAME OF THE OWNER I WOULD THINK??????????? - Sun Nov 2 2008, 23:01
