If it is in Lincoln Park, near Children's Memorial, has three or more bedrooms and parking...I'll buy it...if the price is right. - Wed Jul 16 2008, 05:32

It may not be your first choice but you might consider renting out a room or two to help with expenses. There has long been an underused "shared housing" movement where young people live with older people to spread the cost of things around. Check with your church or put an advert on craigslist.org to try to get a satisfactory person to share your house. Get a second job and cut down all (and I mean ALL) expenses. Make your own meals, coffee and brown bag it. Get rid of cable and all magazines. Use the library. Good luck. You will pull through. Make the best faith effort possible. My prayers go out to you. - Fri Jul 11 2008, 18:29

Princeton, NJ - properties for sale but not on MLS

C Norton answered:
My in-laws have a home in the lower price range in Princeton. It will be on the market in the next two years but will be a bit above your price range. Why don't you consider a condo just to get 'in the township'. You can build equity while you search the retirement homes for someone who wants to sell/needs to sell. Be careful about the cost of the house when the taxes might just derail your dreams. Best of luck with your search. - Sun Jul 6 2008, 23:55
